London is our topic for the rest of the spring term. The children have already decided what they would like to discover about our capital city from Big Ben and the River Thames to what the Queen likes to have for tea! The teachers are just as excited to be teaching about London as the children are to be learning about this amazing city.
WEEK ONE We will be finding out about why London is important, who lives and works there, what people do there as well as spotting some of the famous buildings that you might recognise in the cover photo at the top of this page.
WEEK TWO What's the best way to get around London? The London Underground, infamous black cabs and the iconic red london bus will all be investigated.
WEEK THREE / FOUR There is just so much to do in London. We will visit The Tower of London, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Wembley and The West End to name just a few!
WEEK FIVE All about The Olympics and this world famous event being held in London 2012.
WEEK SIX A visit to Buckingham Palace to see the Queen is a must. Who knows... we may even catch a glimpse of Wills and Kate :o)
